Papercraft & Photoshop - Day 4

We finished up our designs in Photoshop today and they turned out pretty good! After we added the finishing touches to our designs and completed them, we decided to print out more crafts because why not! Who doesn't love making their very own 3D papercraft?

Did they finish?  Nope.  Did they get really far and learn a lot?  Heck yes!

We got to the "photoshop" portion of the classes today! After taking a photo of our papercraft designs, we were able to insert it wherever we pleased  and add whatever we pleased to said picture. Our pictures are looking good! Some finishing touches on Thursday, and our masterpieces should be complete.

Soldering - Day 3

The soldering continued today as we entered into the last week of the class! We are making good progress and are very close to being done!

Papercraft & Photoshop - Day 2

The Folding continues!  We have selected and printed out papercraft designs, courtesy of cubecraft.com.  Now we are folding and cutting!  As soon as they are assembled we will begin taking pictures and Photoshopping!

Soldering Day 2

Soldering continues today!  Our electrical engineers returned to the task with gusto.  Here's hoping we have enough time finish between today and next week!

Papercraft & Photoshop

Today, we spent some time finding our favorite characters on a website that turns them into a flat design. From there, we printed the design on cardstock and began folding it into some awesome designs.

From here, we hope to insert our designs into our own backgrounds using Photoshop!

Soldering - Day 1

Day one of our intense soldering class is underway! After getting the important safety instructions out of the way, we got organized and began to attack our kit. This time around, we're going to be making our very own AM/FM radios!

We knocked out a good chunk today and are looking forward to finishing it in the next 3 classes

Teen Tech Week - Kahoot! Trivia

As Teen Tech Week comes to a close, we took it down a notch and had an easy and fun class to conclude a week of hard work. Kahoot! is always a blast to have. We just had a fun trivia session.

We take a week off after this hectic week, then it's back to your regularly scheduled PNG classes, starting with Soldering!

Teen Tech Week - TinkerCAD

Teen Tech Week is in full force! Today, we did a scaled down version of our usual, two part TinkerCAD classes that was a quick intro into 3D printing. We designed like crazy and ended up with awesome design in about an hour!

Teen Tech Week - Ozobots

Our Teen Tech Week continues today with our coding-oriented Ozobot class! We used these mini robots and made them do our bidding. We made our our makeshift soccer field and obstacle course and let the bots go to work.

Teen Tech Week - Paint You Face

Day two of our annual Teen Tech Week was today. What better way to celebrate it than with a PNG classic: Paint Your Face! This class lets everyone release their inner artist, while also teaching valuable photo editing skills on our Photoshop software.

Teen Tech Week - Vinyl Cutter

Today is the first day of our annual week-long celebration of technology here at the Elmwood Park Public Library! We will be hosting a variety of tech-related classes throughout the week; but this week, we have out Vinyl Cutter class.

We used our trusty Silhouette Cameo cutter, along with the Silhouette Studios software to cut out awesome designs on vinyl to stick wherever our hearts desire!
