Today was the final day! All our hard work came down to this. We added the finishing touches and exported them to Soundcloud for everyone to check out so....here they are!

Mixcraft class continues!  We've got our headphones thumping as we're creating sonic masterpieces.  Can't wait to showcase them after the next and final class!

After getting a base background image last class, we started adding to the poster today! We got familiar with tools like the lasso cut and the magic wand selection. We will continue to work on them next week!

Mixcraft - Day 2 (Teens)

After a lonely first day, we finally dusted off the ol' Mixcraft software. Its been a while since we've done a song making class so today was mainly dedicated to relearning the ropes. Next week, we will start to compose our tunes to share!

Today was the first day to our Poster designing class! It was a brief intro into the infinite possibilities of Photoshop. We started downloading pictures that we will use for our posters and started to organize them.

Thursday we will start editing them to make our unique poster designs!

PNG-ers battled the elements to finish their designs as our 6pm class was rescheduled to 5pm to everyone could get home safely! Both the Midkids and Teens showed up and worked hard to finish their designs. These are sure to make your hearts warm so check em out!

Valentine's Day is around the corner and we thought that there was no better way to say "I love you" than with awesome vinyl art! We started the brainstorming process today and began attacking the design in Silhouette Studios. Thursday we'll wrap up and have some unique art to share.

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and what better way to show someone you love them than with awesome canvas art made with vinyl! Today we got going on the software design and Thursday we'll wrap up and put them to canvas so stay tuned

Robot Club

Today was a great day in PNG robot history!  After struggling to read what looked like gibberish on the VEX software, we tinkered with it enough that we got it to work. We loaded our first program on it!

This now unlocks a world of infinite possibilities so tune in next class to see what we do next!

Drawn To Life - Day 2 (MidKids)

Today was all Photoshop! We had our drawings scanned to our computers and using Photoshop's paintbucket tool to color it and add backgrounds! the results turned out awesome!

We are getting artsy today! We're picking pictures online to turn into Photoshopped masterpieces. After picking an image, we printed and drew them using our tracing pads and made a digital copy of them. On Thursday, we'll pull them up in Photoshop and using the paint bucket tool to color them in!

Robot Club

Today was all about fine tuning the robot now that we got it the sync up to our joystick. We calibrated its movements and even dipped our toes in the coding and programming process!

Next month, we'll get more familiar with the programming software so stay tuned

We wrapped up our snowflakes today! Now we play the dreaded waiting game...

Everyone should hopefully have their prints before Christmas, but in the meantime, everyone can brag about their awesome CAD skills.

PNG is getting into the holiday spirit! Internet issues didn't stop us from trying to design our snowflakes. We worked on our designs when the internet was up.When it wasn't, we were continuing the designing on good old paper!

Thursday we will (hopefully) have the internet up and running and continue!

Hour of Code

Hour of Code was a lonely one today, but the students made due without an instructor and picked up what they could straight the Code.org website!

Robot Club

The first rule of Robot Club is: tell everyone about Robot Club!  With our Vex kit grabber bot nearly complete we made the finishing touches and then started figuring out how to control our creation!
