You can do A LOT in Adobe Photoshop Elements, and we've only previously scratched the surface.  So let's start a new project.  This time, we'll take a bad photo and make it better using cropping, filters and touch-up tools!

PNG Online - Music DAW Quest!

D.A.W. is an acronym for Digital Audio Workspace.  Even if you're not familiar with the phrase you've probably heard of Garageband or Mixcraft.  We have Acoustica's Mixcraft software loaded on our PNG computers at the library, but with in-person classes on hiatus because of COVID-19, I want to find an online DAW that everyone can use!

I found a list of possible candidates so we're going to go down the list and check them all out!  Hopefully, by the end of the hour we'll have an idea of which one is the best!

PNG Online - Kano PC Laptop Walkthrough

The Kano PC Laptops are now available for checkout at The Elmwood Park Public Library!

Project Next Generation, EPPL’s grant-funded technology classes for Teens and MidKids is adding 10 Kano PC Laptops to the collection so you can follow along with all of the great PNG Online activities we’ve been doing on YouTube!   

The laptops come loaded with a variety of Kano’s fun coding exercises, Adobe Photoshop and even Minecraft!  

A wireless hotspot is also included to make getting online simple and easy. 

Check out our orientation walkthrough that shows you everything that comes with the laptop and how to use it when you check it out with your library card!

PNG Online - Paper Snowflakes

Winter is upon us!  Let's keep warm by moving our hands and making some snowflakes out of ordinary paper! 

We're going to start with this great guide on Instructables.com and then switch to Star Wars snowflakes!

All you need is a couple of sheets of ordinary paper, scissors and maybe an X-Acto knife and cutting mat if you're feeling fancy!

PNG Online - TinkerCAD & 3D Printing (Part 3)

We’re back for the exciting conclusion to our TinkerCAD & 3D Printing trilogy!  We covered the very basics of how to get around in TinkerCAD and then went in-depth creating a 3D object.  Now let’s put the finishing touches on our 3D object, export it, and get it ready for the 3D printer!  Follow along at home or do your own thing.

If time permits we’ll check out some of the cool stuff people are posting on Thingiverse.com and maybe even experiment with importing some image files and converting them into 3D objects.
