Proof That Natalia Was Listening

This wasn't specifically a PNG project, but PNG All-Star Natalia created a truly awesome Iron Man mask using a pepakura technique that she heard about during a PNG class.

I wanted to create a stand to showcase her awesome hard work and reward
the initiative she showed when she took her PNG skills beyond the classroom!

TinkerCAD in Full Effect!

 We kicked the summer off right with a big TinkerCAD class!  We even got a glimpse at some next level Fusion 360 work when one of our previous students returned and gave us a little showcase of what is possible with the more advanced software.

Glowforge + LED lights

 We used the Glowforge to take a graphic and engrave it onto acrylic then inserted the acrylic piece into a cheap LED base that we purchased on the Internet.

The results were pretty... illuminating!

3D Printer Problems

 There's something about white PLA filament.  It is notoriously the most prone to printer problems.  The tangled filament by the spool was just insult to injury.

After visiting the 4th grade classes at Elm Elementary we printed out all of the name tags the students designed in TinkerCAD!
