Robot Club - February 2019

Today was a victorious day for Robot Club we managed to get our clawbot up and running by rewriting the default firmware!  After driving around for a while and picking things up with the claw we tried swapping out the wheels.  Not bad for a day's work!

Stop-Motion Animation: Day 4 - All Stop No Motion

Today was the last day of our 4-part Stop-motion animation class.  It doesn't look like anyone actually finished a movie but that's OK, we had a great time learning how the process works and horsing around with new friends.

TinkerCAD @ Elmwood Elementary

Today, Ahren visited Elmwood Elementary and the classrooms of Mrs. Predovich, Anderson, Jerzyk & Windisch. Ahren demonstrated the 3D printer to approximately 80 kids. Students quickly learned the basics of TinkerCAD and designed a small name plate which Ahren then printed out on his return to the library.

 What a great day!

Stop-Motion Animation: Day 3 - stop with the photos

Today we switched gears from taking pictures to editing our movies.  we loaded our digital photos on to the computer and started learning how to use the editing software Adobe Premiere Elements!

Today is our second day of stop-motion animation. The students got familiar with the cameras and figures in the first class. Had some practice and now it's time to take it to the next level!

Today was the first day of Stop-Motion Animation! Students got acquainted with the basics concepts and then it was time to brainstorm ideas!

Hour of Code - January 2019

Was your New Year's resolution to practice your coding skills? If so, you're in the right place. It's our monthly Hour of Code session. We had a variety of activities going on today from Flowlab game creator, to Ozobots to Code.org!

Robot Club - January 2019

It's a new year, but we're still working on the same old robot! At this point the robot is all but assembled. Just a few more checks and tweaks to make before we can take it for a spin. Next up, time to start coding the robot to perform tasks on its own!

TinkerCAD - Day Four

Today was the last day of TinkerCAD!  Hopefully, everyone had a lot of fun and printed out some great trinkets to give out for the holidays!

PNG Classes will resume in 2019!  See you next year!

TinkerCAD - Day Three

Today was the third day of our four-part TinkerCAD class!  Students have already created a few items to be printed and printing is underway!

Time for a festive TinkerCAD class full of good cheer.  We're going to make some seasonal 3D objects to be printed out on our 3D printers!

Hour of Code: December 2018

It's the last Hour of Code session of the year!  Today we had fun playing with Ozobots, continuing our Ozobot Obstacle Course Challenge from last week and attempting to code Ozobots to complete a diabolical maze!
